TIDA-00333: This reference design demonstrates a dual isolated, half-duplex repeater with data rate independent flow-control for long-haul RS-485 networks suitable for industrial applications. The design provides transient protection protecting the signal path against ESD, EFT, and surge transients specified in the IEC 61000 family of transient immunity standards.
TIDA-00183: The TIDA-00183 shows a high density, high power digital output circuitry with full protection and isolation for programmable logic controllers in factory automation and control environment. The BeagleBone-Black cape formfactor allows easy evaluation of the used driver chips and the interoperation with an MSP430 MCU for innovative protection schemes.
TIDA-00308: RS485 (Isolated, Non-isolated) is a popular interface for the Grid Infrastructure space, and is one of the most important options on newly designed equipment. TIDA-00308 will enable customers to quickly evaluate and design with TI RS485 devices for 3 different application scenarios, with an isolated power supply provided in this design. Additionally, test results in the user’s guide will demonstrate the IEC61000-4-2 ESD and IEC61000-4-5 surge tests performed on this design.
TIDA-00557: The TIDA-00557 reference design provides an interface for a true RS-232 (eight signal + ground) physical layer interface for data terminal equipment (DTE) using a DB-9 plug-type connector with a provision for a data communication equipment (DCE) interface. This is intended for smart grid IED’s, protection relays and substation automation segments. This design meets +-/ 8kV contact discharge ESD protection as per IEC61000-4-2 and +/-1kV surge protection as per IEC61000-4-5.
