A thermal pad is recommended under the IC to improve heat dissipation. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness and a thermal relief pattern around the thermal pad is recommended.

A decoupling capacitor of 10uF or more is recommended between the power supply pins (VCC and GND) to ensure stable operation. Additionally, a 0.1uF capacitor can be added between the input pins (VIN and GND) for further noise reduction.

The maximum allowed voltage on the input pins (VIN) is 6V, exceeding which may cause damage to the IC.

ESD protection diodes can be added between the input pins (VIN) and the power supply pins (VCC and GND) to protect the IC from electrostatic discharge. Additionally, a TVS diode can be added between the input pins and the power supply pins to protect against overvoltage.
