A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the RF traces short and away from the digital lines. Use a common mode filter or a pi-filter to reduce EMI.
Ensure the VCC pin is connected to a stable 5V power supply, and the VEE pin is connected to a stable -5V power supply. Use a voltage regulator or a voltage reference to generate the required voltages.
The recommended input impedance is 50 ohms, and the recommended output impedance is also 50 ohms. Impedance matching is critical for optimal performance.
Use a low-noise power supply, and ensure the PCB is well-shielded. Use a common mode filter or a pi-filter to reduce EMI. Keep the RF traces away from the digital lines and use a ground plane to reduce radiation.
The maximum operating frequency of the ADRF5130BCPZ is 6 GHz. However, the device can be used up to 10 GHz with some degradation in performance.
