  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Keep the switching components close to the IC and use a thermal relief pattern under the IC.

  • Use a low-ESR output capacitor, such as a ceramic or polymer capacitor, and place it close to the output pins. Also, ensure the PCB layout is optimized for low inductance.

  • The maximum input voltage is 6.5V, but it's recommended to keep it below 6V to ensure reliable operation and minimize power dissipation.

  • Use a heat sink with a thermal interface material, and ensure good airflow around the device. The maximum junction temperature is 125°C, so monitor the temperature and adjust the cooling system accordingly.

  • A 10uF to 22uF X5R or X7R ceramic capacitor is recommended, placed close to the input pins. This helps to filter the input voltage and reduce noise.
