  • A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a thermal relief pattern around the device is recommended. Ensure that the thermal pad is connected to a large copper area to dissipate heat efficiently.

  • Ensure that the input voltage (VIN) is within the recommended range (4.5V to 18V) and that the bias voltage (VCC) is set to 5V ± 10%. Also, ensure that the input capacitor (CIN) is properly sized to filter out noise and ripple.

  • A 10uF to 22uF X7R or X5R ceramic capacitor is recommended for the input capacitor (CIN). This value provides a good balance between noise filtering and stability.

  • Check the PCB layout for any signs of parasitic inductance or capacitance. Ensure that the input and output capacitors are properly sized and placed. Also, verify that the device is properly biased and that the input voltage is within the recommended range.

  • The FAN9611MX can deliver up to 1.5A of output current. However, the actual output current capability may be limited by the thermal performance of the device and the PCB design.
