  • The recommended power-on sequence is to first apply VDDIO, then VDD, and finally enable the device by setting the CS pin low. This ensures proper initialization and prevents unwanted behavior.

  • To configure the LIS2DHTR for low-power mode, set the LPEN bit in the CTRL_REG1 register to 1. This reduces the current consumption to approximately 10 μA. Additionally, you can adjust the ODR (Output Data Rate) to a lower value to further reduce power consumption.

  • The INT1 and INT2 pins are interrupt pins that can be configured to generate interrupts based on specific events, such as data ready, FIFO threshold, or motion detection. You can configure the interrupt sources and behavior using the INT_CFG_REG register.

  • The LIS2DHTR does not require calibration in the classical sense. However, you may need to perform a zero-g offset calibration to remove any bias from the sensor readings. This can be done by taking readings with the device at rest and subtracting the average values from subsequent readings.

  • The maximum frequency of the I2C interface is 400 kHz. You can configure the I2C interface by setting the I2C_SCL_HL and I2C_SCL_LW bits in the CTRL_REG4 register to adjust the clock high and low times, respectively.
