  • The recommended power-on sequence is to apply VDD first, followed by VLOGIC, and then the clock signal. This ensures proper initialization of the device.

  • To configure the LIS344ALH for low-power mode, set the LPEN bit in the CTRL_REG1 register to 1. This reduces the current consumption to approximately 10 μA.

  • The LIS344ALH has a maximum acceleration range of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, or ±16g, depending on the FS_SEL bits in the CTRL_REG4 register.

  • To calculate the acceleration values, multiply the raw data by the sensitivity value (LSB/g) specified in the datasheet, and then divide by 2^(resolution - 1), where resolution is the number of bits per axis (typically 12 or 14).

  • The self-test feature allows the user to verify the proper functioning of the accelerometer by applying a known acceleration stimulus to the sensor. This can be useful for diagnostic purposes or during production testing.
