A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Keep the component side of the PCB clear of copper to minimize thermal resistance.
Use a thermal interface material (TIM) with a thermal conductivity of at least 1 W/m-K between the device and the heat sink. Ensure good thermal contact and a heat sink with a thermal resistance of less than 10°C/W.
Use a low-ESR ceramic capacitor (X5R or X7R) with a value of 4.7 μF to 10 μF, depending on the input voltage and output current requirements.
Use a shielded inductor, keep the switching node (SW) away from sensitive nodes, and add a common-mode choke or ferrite bead to the input lines. Ensure good PCB layout and decoupling.
Use a low-ESR ceramic capacitor (X5R or X7R) with a value of 10 μF to 22 μF, depending on the output voltage and current requirements.
