  • The maximum clock frequency that can be used with the internal oscillator is 20 MHz. However, it's recommended to use a clock frequency of 16 MHz or less to ensure reliable operation.

  • To configure the watchdog timer to reset the microcontroller, set the WDT_C1[WDT] bit to 1 and the WDT_C1[WDTS] bit to 0. Then, set the WDT_C2[WDTOF] bit to 1 to enable the watchdog timer. Make sure to periodically reset the watchdog timer by writing a 1 to the WDT_C2[WDTOF] bit to prevent a reset.

  • The maximum current that can be sourced or sunk by the GPIO pins is 25 mA. However, it's recommended to limit the current to 10 mA or less to ensure reliable operation and prevent overheating.

  • To use the ADC, configure the ADC_SC1 register to select the desired channel and conversion mode. Then, start the conversion by setting the ADC_SC2[ADTRG] bit to 1. Wait for the conversion to complete by polling the ADC_SC2[ADSTS] bit. Finally, read the converted value from the ADC_R1 and ADC_R0 registers.

  • The COP watchdog timer is a safety feature that resets the microcontroller if it fails to periodically reset the COP timer. This ensures that the microcontroller is operating properly and prevents it from getting stuck in an infinite loop or other abnormal state.
