  • The recommended power-up sequence is to apply the power supplies (V+ and V-) before applying the input signals. This ensures that the internal circuitry is properly biased before the input signals are applied.

  • To minimize noise and EMI, keep the input and output traces short and away from each other, use a ground plane, and decouple the power supplies with capacitors. Also, consider using a shielded enclosure and keeping the OP97EPZ away from other noisy components.

  • The OP97EPZ can drive a maximum capacitive load of 100 pF. Exceeding this limit may cause instability or oscillations.

  • To compensate for the input bias current, use a resistor in series with the input signal to balance the input currents. The value of the resistor depends on the input impedance and the desired common-mode voltage.

  • The thermal shutdown temperature of the OP97EPZ is typically around 150°C. If the junction temperature exceeds this value, the device will shut down to prevent damage.
