  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate analog ground plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a star topology for the power supply and decouple the PGA900ARHHR with 10uF and 100nF capacitors.

  • The gain setting depends on the input signal amplitude and the desired output signal amplitude. Use the PGA900ARHHR's gain equation (Gain = 20 * log10(Vout/Vin)) to determine the optimal gain setting. You can also use the device's gain adjustment pins (GAIN0-GAIN3) to fine-tune the gain.

  • Power up the device in the following sequence: 1) Apply VCC, 2) Apply AVCC, 3) Apply DVCC, and 4) Apply the input signal. This sequence ensures proper device operation and prevents latch-up.

  • Use a low-noise power supply, decouple the PGA900ARHHR with 10uF and 100nF capacitors, and keep the analog and digital grounds separate. Use shielding and guard rings to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI).

  • The maximum input signal amplitude is ±2.5Vpp differential or ±1.25Vpp single-ended. Exceeding this limit may cause distortion, clipping, or damage to the device.
