STPMIC1APQR Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • STMicroelectronics recommends a 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a thermal relief pattern under the device to ensure optimal thermal performance.

  • To minimize output voltage ripple, use a low-ESR output capacitor, ensure good PCB layout, and consider adding a filter capacitor (e.g., 10nF) between the output and ground.

  • The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the STPMIC1APQR is 5.5V, but it's recommended to keep it below 5V to ensure reliable operation.

  • To ensure the device is in a low-power state during shutdown, make sure the EN pin is pulled low and the input voltage is removed or reduced to a minimum.
