STMicroelectronics recommends a 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a thermal relief pattern under the device to ensure optimal thermal performance.
To minimize output voltage ripple, use a low-ESR output capacitor, ensure good PCB layout, and consider adding a filter capacitor (e.g., 10nF) between the output and ground.
The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the STPMIC1APQR is 5.5V, but it's recommended to keep it below 5V to ensure reliable operation.
To ensure the device is in a low-power state during shutdown, make sure the EN pin is pulled low and the input voltage is removed or reduced to a minimum.
A 10uF to 22uF X5R or X7R ceramic capacitor is recommended for input decoupling, placed as close to the device as possible.
