  • Texas Instruments recommends a star-ground configuration, with the analog and digital grounds separated and connected at a single point. Additionally, keep the analog and digital signal traces separate and avoid running them parallel to each other. Use a solid ground plane and decouple the power supply pins with capacitors.

  • The TLC354CD requires a clock signal with a frequency between 1.5 MHz and 40 MHz. Ensure the clock signal is clean and has a low jitter. Use a clock source with a stable frequency and amplitude, and avoid using a clock signal with a high harmonic content.

  • Power up the VCC pin first, followed by the VREF pin, and then the clock signal. Ensure that the VCC pin is stable before applying the clock signal. Avoid applying the clock signal before the VCC pin is powered up, as this can cause incorrect operation or damage to the device.

  • The TLC354CD outputs data in a binary two's complement format. The default output format is straight binary, but it can be configured to output twos complement or offset binary through the control register.
