The maximum output power of the TOP243PN is 24W, but it can be derated based on the input voltage, output voltage, and ambient temperature.
To ensure the TOP243PN operates within its SOA, follow the guidelines in the datasheet for input voltage, output voltage, output current, and ambient temperature. Also, make sure to provide adequate heat sinking and thermal management.
The BYPASS pin is used to connect a bypass capacitor to the internal voltage regulator. This helps to reduce the noise and ripple on the internal voltage regulator output, ensuring stable operation of the TOP243PN.
When selecting a transformer for the TOP243PN, consider the input voltage, output voltage, and power rating. The transformer should be designed to handle the maximum output power of the TOP243PN, and its turns ratio should be chosen to achieve the desired output voltage.
