  • The maximum voltage that can be applied to the bootstrap capacitor is 35V, which is the maximum voltage rating of the high-side driver.

  • The minimum bootstrap capacitor value can be calculated using the formula: CBOOT ≥ (IHS x tON) / (VBOOT - VCC), where IHS is the high-side driver current, tON is the on-time of the high-side driver, VBOOT is the bootstrap voltage, and VCC is the supply voltage.

  • The deadtime between the high-side and low-side drivers is necessary to prevent shoot-through current and ensure proper operation of the half-bridge configuration. It allows the high-side driver to fully turn off before the low-side driver turns on, and vice versa.

  • The deadtime between the high-side and low-side drivers can be adjusted by adding an external resistor and capacitor between the DT pin and ground. The deadtime is proportional to the RC time constant.

  • The maximum switching frequency of the L6387 is 500 kHz, but it can be limited by the external components and the application requirements.
