  • To ensure stability, make sure to follow the recommended component values and PCB layout guidelines. Additionally, check that the input and output capacitors are of sufficient value and that the device is properly decoupled. If oscillations occur, try adding a small series resistor (e.g., 10Ω) between the output and the feedback pin.

  • The maximum power dissipation of the LT6604 is dependent on the package type and the ambient temperature. For the CUFF package, the maximum power dissipation is approximately 1.4W at 25°C ambient temperature. However, this value can be derated for higher temperatures. Consult the datasheet for more information.

  • While the LT6604 is a voltage-controlled oscillator, it's not recommended to use it as a voltage regulator. The device is designed to provide a stable clock signal, not a regulated voltage output. If you need a voltage regulator, consider using a dedicated voltage regulator IC.

  • The output frequency of the LT6604 can be adjusted by changing the value of the external resistor (RSET) connected between the SET pin and ground. A smaller RSET value will result in a higher output frequency, while a larger value will result in a lower output frequency.
