The TPS2054D has a maximum current limit of 1A per channel, but it can be adjusted using external resistors. The current limit can be calculated using the formula: I_LIM = 1.5V / R_LIM, where R_LIM is the resistance of the external resistor.

To ensure safe operation during hot-swapping, it's recommended to add a 10uF to 22uF capacitor between the VBUS pin and GND to filter out voltage spikes. Additionally, the device should be powered from a voltage source that can supply the maximum current required by the device.
