  • The recommended operating voltage range for the MAX706TESA+T is 2.7V to 5.5V.

  • To ensure proper power-up and initialization, apply a stable voltage source to the VCC pin, and ensure the reset pin (RST) is tied to VCC through a pull-up resistor. Wait for the power-on reset (POR) timeout period (typically 10ms) before accessing the device.

  • The NOE pin is an active-low output enable input that allows the device to tri-state its outputs. When NOE is low, the outputs are enabled; when NOE is high, the outputs are tri-stated. Use NOE to control the device's output state, especially in multi-master bus systems.

  • The WDT is enabled by default. To prevent unwanted resets, feed the WDT by writing a '0' to the WDT feed register (0x0F) within the watchdog timeout period (typically 1.4 seconds). You can also disable the WDT by setting the WDT disable bit (bit 7 of register 0x0F).

  • The WP pin is an active-low write protect input that prevents writes to the configuration registers. When WP is low, the configuration registers are write-protected; when WP is high, writes are allowed. Use WP to protect the device's configuration from accidental changes.
