A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the sensitive analog traces away from the digital traces and ensure a low-impedance path for the output current.
Use a low-impedance current sense resistor (RSENSE) and ensure it is placed close to the IC. Also, use a low-noise, low-impedance power supply and keep the PCB layout clean and well-decoupled.
The maximum allowed voltage on the VCC pin is 5.5V. Exceeding this voltage may damage the device.
The thermal shutdown feature is activated when the junction temperature exceeds 170°C. To handle this, ensure good thermal design and heat sinking, and consider adding thermal monitoring and shutdown circuitry in your system design.
The APS12200LLHALX is rated for operation up to 150°C. However, the device's performance and reliability may degrade at high temperatures. Ensure proper thermal design and heat sinking to maintain a safe operating temperature.
