  • The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the VIN pin is 38V, but it's recommended to keep it below 36V for reliable operation.

  • To optimize the inductor selection, consider the inductor's saturation current, DC resistance, and core material. A good starting point is to choose an inductor with a saturation current rating of at least 1.5 times the maximum output current, and a DC resistance of less than 100mΩ.

  • The RUN pin is an active-high enable input that allows the user to turn the converter on and off. To use it, simply tie the RUN pin to VIN or a logic high signal to enable the converter, or tie it to GND or a logic low signal to disable it.

  • The output voltage of the LTC3108 can be adjusted by connecting a resistive divider from the output voltage to the FB pin, and then to GND. The ratio of the resistors determines the output voltage, according to the formula: VOUT = 0.6V x (R1 + R2) / R2.

  • The maximum ambient temperature range for the LTC3108 is -40°C to 125°C, but the device can operate up to 150°C with reduced performance and reliability.
