XIO2001ZWS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the XIO2001ZWS close to the antenna and use a 50-ohm microstrip transmission line to connect the antenna to the IC.

Use a 1/4 wavelength monopole antenna or a dipole antenna with a length of around 17mm for optimal performance. The antenna should be matched to 50 ohms and placed at least 10mm away from other components.

The maximum transmit power is +20 dBm (100 mW). Exceeding this limit may cause the IC to overheat or malfunction.

Use the XIO2001ZWS's built-in power-down mode by setting the PDN pin low. This reduces the current consumption to around 1 μA. You can also use the chip's sleep mode to reduce power consumption during idle periods.

A 26 MHz crystal oscillator is recommended for optimal performance. This frequency provides a good balance between accuracy and power consumption.
