  • To optimize the layout for the LTC2980, it is recommended to follow the guidelines provided in the datasheet, including keeping the analog and digital grounds separate, using a solid ground plane, and minimizing the length of the traces connecting the input and output capacitors.

  • The recommended input capacitor value for the LTC2980 is 10uF to 22uF, with a voltage rating of at least 2x the input voltage. The capacitor should be placed as close to the VIN pin as possible.

  • The LTC2980 is designed to operate with an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V. While it may be possible to use the device with a different input voltage range, it is not recommended as it may affect the device's performance and reliability.
