L-com Inc The L-com PXSLSY-307NA-E slot sensor operates on the principle of thru-beam or opposed mode sensing where light emitted from the transmitter is directly aimed at the receiver. Used to detect objects which pass between two arms that make up the slot, the transmitter and receiver share the same Y shape housing. Referring to the presence or lack of light at the receiving end, the switching type is L.On/D.On selectable, triggering the NPN output. L-com’s PXSLSY-307NA-E slot sensor has sensing distance or slot width of 5 mm which can detect opaque objects having size greater than 1.2 x 1.8 mm effectively preventing detected objects from hitting the bottom of the slots. The illuminator emits Infrared light having wavelength 940 mm and the photodetector receives light without obstruction. But, when an object passes through the Y shape slot, the light gets blocked, and the detector generates the corresponding output signal. The PXSLSY-307NA-E slot sensor is newly developed product characterized for fast response time of 3 KHz and superior anti-interference is used in manufacturing, automotive, material handling, and warehouse automation. The slot sensor has an operating DC voltage from 5 to 24 VDC. It has connector which gives you the right amount of length for your project. It is made of PC material and has IP50 degree of dust protection which makes it rugged and durable. L-com’s PXSLSY-307N-W slot sensor has sensing distance or slot width of 5 mm which can detect opaque objects having size greater than 1.2 x 1.8 mm effectively preventing detected objects from hitting the bottom of the slots. The illuminator emits Infrared light having wavelength 940 mm and the photodetector receives light without obstruction. But, when an object passes through the Y shape slot, the light gets blocked, and the detector generates the corresponding output signal.
